Board, 1924; President, Hazaribagh D.C.C, 1925—46; Was a member of Bihar P.C.C. and A.I.C.C. for a long time; M.L.A. (Central), 1927—46; Suffered imprisonment for participating in Congress movements, 1921, 1922, 1930, 1932, 1940 and 1942—44; Member, Constituent Assembly and the Provisional Parliament.
