MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT(SHRI M.A.A.FATMI)

(a) & (b) In 1995 Government sanctioned setting up of five Zonal Training Institutes of Education and Training (ZIET). However, due to financial constraints and lack of infrastructural facilities, only three institutes could be set up at Gwalior, Mumbai and Mysore. So far, 1218 teachers have been imparted training in these institutions.

(c) The Academic Committee of KVS has reviewed the functioning/constitution of these Training Institutes as full fledged institutes and decided to make the existing institutions fully operational and set up some more full fledged institutions to meet the needs of training of Kendriya Vidyalaya teachers/staff.
