(a) to (c) Section 1(2) of the National Council for
Teacher Education (NCTE) Act 1993 provides that the Act
extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu
and Kashmir. In view of this, the norms fixed by NCTE
extends to the whole of India including Maharashtra.
However, the Act does not extend to the State of Jammu
and Kashmir.
