(a) the details of National Highways (NHs) network in various States of the country as on date; and
(b) the number of proposals received by the Government from the various States for expansion/widening of NHs during each of the last three years and the current year along with the present status thereof?

(a) State / Union Territory (UT)-wise details of National Highways (NHs) network the country as on date is placed at Annexure-I;
(b) The details of proposals sanctioned by the Government for various States / UTs for development of NHs including widening of NHs during each of the last three years and the current year is at Annexure-II. The proposals received from States / UTs which fulfil the technical requirements are sanctioned as per traffic density and inter-se priority of works within the available resources and other proposals get automatically returned to States / UTs at the end of financial year. As such there is no pending proposal for the said period.
