Question : Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund


(a) the number of villages in which milk producters are being benefited under Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund, the details thereof State-wise including the Parliamentary Constituency of Bijnor;

(b) the details of amount spent and utilized for doubling the income of dairy farmers, out of the first instalment of Rs. 440 crores to National Dairy Development Fund (NDDB) under Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund and the number of farmers benefited from it, State-wise and district-wise;

(c) the amount provided or being provided to the milk institutions under this scheme of financial assistance as loan, the details thereof, State-wise and district-wise; and

(d) the percentage of interest/ subsidy being given by the Government under this scheme?

(a) Under Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund (DIDF) 24,120 number of villages have been covered till 30.06.2021. No project proposal has been received for Bijnor parliamentary constituency. The State-wise details on number of villages covered under DIDF is at Annexure-I.

(b) The entire amount of Rs. 440 Cr as the first installment has been disbursed by National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to the Cooperative Milk Unions and 10,65,580 number of farmers benefitted from it. The project-wise State-wise statement of loan sanctioned, utilized and number of farmers benefitted is at Annexure-II

(c) Out of total project cost of Rs.11,184 Cr, Rs. 8004 Cr is loan assistance to be provided to the End Borrowers. As on 30.06.2021, Rs. 5636 Cr has been approved as total outlay including loan assistance of Rs. 3715.84 Cr and loan disbursed to the Cooperative and Milk Producer Company is Rs. 1274.16 Cr. The project-wise and State-wise details of financial assistance as loan under DIDF are at Annexure-III.

(d) Under DIDF scheme, Government of India provides interest subvention fixed at 2.5% per annum with effect from 11.09.2020.
