Organized "Harit Kranti Rath Yatra" during 2000-2001 for the development of Agriculture, which is the major occupation in this tribal dominated, backward, remote district of Gadchiroli where there are no industries at all. For the year round irrigation, initiated the concept of check dam - cum - barrages of the perennial river of Wainganga. Committed to the construction of Gadchiroli-Wadsa and Gadchiroli-Mancherial railway lines to pave way for industries and employment generation; As a result of this efforts, Chichdoh barrage was completed on the river Wainganga. The work of Kotgal barrage is under progress. The Wadsa-Gadchiroli railway line is sanctioned. Land acquisition process is near completion
