GODARA, CHAUDHARY HARI RAM MAKKASAR, Janata, (Rajasthan—Bikaner—1977):  s. of Chaudhary Talchha Ram and adopted s. of Chaudhary, Hukma Ram Pura Ram; b. at Daulat Pura Village, Ganganagar District, Ashvini Sudi 14, Samvat 1967; m. Smt. Bakhtawari Devi, Baisakhi Sudi 3, 1982; 4 s. and 5 d.; Agriculturist; led an agitation for securing land to the landless kisans in Sangeria Tehsil in 1970; was Tehsil Pradhan, Hanumangarh, Sangeria, Sadulsahar and Tibi, Ganganagar, District for 6 years; Chairman, (i) Vikas Bank, Hanumangarh 1958—64, and (ii) Swarn Committee, Hanumangarh, 1962; presently Member, Committee on Subordinate Legislation. Social activities:  Running 50 schools in various villages; acquired 3000 acres of land from the people for Gramothan Vidyapeeth, Sangaria; served the people during Famine in Rajasthan; collected 4 1/2 maunds of gold from the people of Rajasthan in 1962 and donated it to the nation. Favourite pastime and recreation:  Prohibition work, anti-dowry work; untouchability; improvement of  progeny of cows, buffaloes, camels and horses.
