(a) whether certain National Highways including NH from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh to Varanasi
via Kalghora, Ambikapur have not been notified in the gazette;
(b) if so, the details thereof during each of the last three years and the current year,
State-wise and NH-wise; and
(c) the steps taken/proposed to be taken by the Government in this regard alongwith the time
by which the upgradation work on the above Highways is likely to be commenced /completed?

(a) All the National Highways(NH) including NH starting from NH-200 near Bilaspur connecting
Katghora and terminating at its junction with NH-78 near Ambikapur has been notified as
National Highway-111 in the gazette. However, NH-111 does not extend from Ambikapur to
Varanasi.
(b) Does not arise.
(c) Development of National Highways is a continuous process and improvement thereof including
upgradation work is taken up in phased manner depending upon traffic density, inter-se priority
and availability of funds.
