(a) whether the Government proposes to set up a Vidhva Ashram of 1000 beds capacity in Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which said Ashram is likely to be opened and the expenditure likely to be incurred thereon?

(a)&(b) A proposal has been approved for construction of
Swadhar Shelter Home for 500 Destitute Women in Vrindavan in
Uttar Pradesh.
(c) As per the report of Vice Chairman, Mathura-Vrindavan
Development Authority, Mathura, the construction of the
Swadhar Shelter Home is likely to be completed by 30.11.2005
and the expenditure likely to be incurred for the
construction is Rs.202.95 lakhs.
