(a) whether a six-lane highway made of steel has been inaugurated in Surat to connect the port with the city in Gujarat;
(b) if so, the places where such type of road is proposed to be constructed in the country along with the State-wise details thereof; and
(c) the details of salient features of such type of road?
(a) A six lane test road section of one kilometre length connecting AM/NS Plant to state highway in Hazira, Gujarat has been built with steel slag.
(b) No proposal of such road construction is with Ministry of Steel.
(c) In this test road section, processed Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel slag from the AM/NS plant has been used in place of natural aggregates.
