(a)&(b): Yes, Madam. Funds are given by the Department of sports to NGOs under its various following schemes for the said purpose :-
(i) National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) - details of funds given under the scheme for the said period are at Annexure-I.
(ii) Scheme of Sports and Games for the Disabled - details of funds given under the scheme for the said period are at Annexure-II.
(iii) Scheme of assistance to NSFs - details of funds given under the scheme for the said period are at Annexure-III.
(iv) Scheme of Human Resources Development in Sports (HRDS) – Under the scheme of HRDS an amount of Rs. 2,25,000/- has been given to Physical Education Foundation of India, Mehrauli during the current financial year i.e. 2014-15.
(c)&(d): Reports of the activities for which grant is given are obtained. Further, as regards youth activities monitoring mechanism is inherent in the scheme of National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Develop- ment (NPYAD), as the grantee organization, on completion of programme, is required to submit the details of the activities done under the programme along with performance report, list of participants indicating their age, gender, caste, funds utilization certificate and accounts statement duly signed by a Chartered Accountant, and an inspection report signed by either a State Government Officer or by a District Youth Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS). The grants to Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) are sanctioned every year after evaluation of their performance. Under the Scheme of Sports and Games for Disabled, reports are obtained from Disability Commissioners on the activities of the concerned organizations.
