(a) the number of National Highways (NHs) in Karnataka and the funds sanctioned for their improvement and renovation during the last three years, NH-wise;
(b) whether the amount sanctioned for the National Highways passing through Mangalore has been utilised;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether any timeframe has been fixed for the completion of the work related to these National Highways; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and the action being taken for non-completion of work?

(a) to (d) There are 22 National Highways in Karnataka state. The funds are sanctioned State wise and not NH wise. The funds sanctioned for improvement and renovation of these roads including those passing through Mangalore, during last three years is Rs 953 cr. The projects are completed as per the stipulated date of completion in the contract agreement and necessary action as per relevant contract clauses are taken for delay in completion of work.
