(a) whether the Government has undertaken development of National Highway (NH) No. 34 between
Farrakha and Kolkata;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the progress made in this project; and
(c) the time by which the said project is likely to be completed?

(a) to ( c) The stretch of NH-34 from Farrakha to Barasat near Kolkata has been taken up for
Four laning under NHDP Phase –III on DBFOT in three packages and are in different stages of
progress. The work on entire stretch is targeted for completion by February, 2015.
