(a) the quantum of drinking water being procured by MES (Water Supply) of Naseerabad Cantonment from the Bisalpur along with the rate thereof;
(b) the quantum of water being supplied to the civilians of Naseerabad along with the rate thereof and the reasons for the increased rates for them;
(c) whether the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan have made any proposal for taking over this water supply work;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the action taken thereon?

(a) MES receives 12.15 lakh gallons of water per day from Bisalpur water supply scheme for which it pays Rs. 6.54 per kilo litre for the first 6 lakh gallons and Rs. 6.98 per kilo litre for water above 6 lakh gallons.
(b) The civilians of Nasirabad are being supplied water by the Cantonment Board which receives water in bulk from Public Health Engineering Deptt. of Govt. of Rajasthan. The Cantonment Board pays Rs. 5.58 per kilo litre to the Public Health Engineering Deptt. and charges a flat rate of Rs.15/- per month per connection from individual consumers.
(c) There is no proposal from the Public Health Engineering Deptt. of Govt. of Rajasthan to take over the water supply in the cantonment.
(d) & (e): Do not arise.
