(a) to (e): The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has already established 7250 e-Classrooms
across the Country. Similarly, 514 Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS) have Smart Classrooms.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in schools component is implemented under the
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) to cover
Government and Government aided secondary and higher secondary schools in the country. The
scheme endeavours to make all students of these schools computer literate through provision of
ICT infrastructure, engagement of an exclusive teacher and capacity enhancement of all teachers
for use of ICT. Besides, an amount of Rs.50 lakhs per District per annum is sanctioned to States /
UTs under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for Computer Aided Learning (CAL). During 2016-17, an
amount of Rs.311.95 crores have been allocated for Computer Aided Learning in 8226 government
upper primary schools, including Rs.164.93 crores for Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA).
