(a) The Income Tax Department reviews and monitors collection and recovery of outstanding dues from all taxpayers, including air service companies, as per the Income Tax Act, Rules and due procedure specified in this behalf.
(b) The field authorities of Income Tax Department review the cases of outstanding dues on regular basis. The Directorate of Income Tax (Recovery) attached with Central Board of Direct Taxes reviews cases having outstanding demand exceeding Rs.25 crore on a quarterly basis.
