(c): Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) has not built any godown in the rural areas of Chhattisgarh State.
(d): A three tier warehousing system had been envi- saged in the country under which the Central Ware- housing Corporation is required to develop ware- housing infrastructure for scientific storage of agricultural produce and other commodities at cen- tres of national importance, whereas the State Ware- housing Corporation had been assigned with the res- ponsibility for development of similar warehousing infrastructure at centres of State level importance. The warehousing infrastructure for similar purposes in rural areas is primarily being developed by the Cooperative Sector, for which financial assistance is also granted by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) & National Coopera- tive Development Corporation (NCDC).
In so far as CWC is concerned, it has initiated steps to construct a capacity of 10000 MT godown at Village, Soram, Dhamtari (Chattisgarh) during the year 2015-16.
