(a) whether the Government proposes to reframe Route Dispersal Guidelines to force airlines to fly smaller aircraft to towns like Kota, Shimla etc. that have shorter airstrips;
(b) if so, the details thereof if not, the reasons therefor; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (c) With a view to achieve better connectivity and taking into account the need for air transport services of different regions in the country, Ministry of Civil Aviation has recently broadened the existing routes connecting stations in Category II of Route Dispersal Guidelines
(RDGs) by including the States of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
