(a) whether there is any proposal to construct a Bypass on National Highway No. 52 at Mangaldoi town to reduce the pollution and heavy burden of traffic jam in the city;
(b) if so, the details of allocation made in the current financial year; and
(c) if not, the time by which the outstanding demand of Assam State is likely to be fulfilled?

(a)to(c) Yes, Sir. There is a proposal to construct a bypass on National Highway No. 52 at Mangaldoi town. There is a provision of Rs. 25.00 lakh in the Annual Plan 2001-2002 for carrying out feasibility study of modified alignment and detailed engineering of the bypass.
