(b) & (c) New homes are opened under the Ujjawala and Swadhar Greh schemes in the States/UTs, including Rajasthan, on the basis of the proposals received from the States/UTs.
The Ministry has decided to implement the Umbrella Scheme for Safety, Security and Empowerment of Women under ‘Mission Shakti’ for improving the condition of women in the country. The existing schemes of the Ministry including the scheme of Ujjwala and Swadhar Greh will be subsumed in ''Mission Shakti’ with a new component of integrated protection and rehabilitation home namely ‘Shakti Sadan’ with new and improved features.
