Question : Central Vista Re-development Project

(a) whether the artefacts and manuscripts which are as old as 5,000 years and which speak of the diverse civilization are available in the museum which comes under Central Vista re-development project;

(b) if so, the details of safety measures taken to ensure the availability of these manuscripts including Jawaharlal Bhavan;

(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and

(d) the alternative measures planned in this regard?

(a) to (b) Yes Sir, National Museum, which comes under Central Vista Re-Development Project, possesses artefacts as old as 5000 years representing our diverse civilization. However, no manuscripts as old as 5000 years are available in the National Museum or in Jawaharlal Bhavan. Safety and security of artefacts is ensured through CCTV surveillance and by deploying CISF personnel on 24/7 basis.
