(a) Yes, Sir. Presently, Anganwadi Services Scheme under Umbrella ICDS is implemented across the country through a network of 7075 projects and 13.79 lakh Anganwadi Centres.
(b) State-wise (including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana) and year-wise number of sanctioned and operational AWCs during the last five years is at Annexure-I.
(c) The services are currently being provided to 795.87 lakh beneficiaries of which 640.22 lakh are children under six years of age and 155.65 lakh are pregnant women and lactating mothers. Pre-school education is provided to 284.94 lakh children of 3-6 years of age (146.60 lakh are boys and 138.34 lakh girls). The State-wise details of number of women and children benefited under the scheme is at Annexure-II.
(d) The State/UT-wise details of funds allocated, released and utilized under Anganwadi Services Scheme during the last five years and the current year is at Annexure-III. The funds are released to States/UTs for implementation of the scheme. District-wise data is not maintained at central level.
