(a) whether the Government has formed the Early Childhood Care and Education Council (ECCE) in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise; and
(c) the number of meetings held by the ECCE Council so far along with the outcome of such meetings, State/UT-wise?

(a) to (c): The National Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Policy envisages a National ECCE Council for laying the system of early childhood care and education in India. The resolution for National ECCE Council has been notified in the Gazette on 15th March, 2014. States/UTs have accordingly been asked to constitute their ECCE Councils. As per information received, following States/UTs have constituted ECCE Council:-
1. Lakshadeep 2. Mizoram 3. Tamil Nadu 4. Andaman and Nicobar
The ECCE council meetings held in the States/UTs and the outcome thereof, are monitored by the States/UTs themselves.
