Question : One Stop Centre for Girls


(a) whether the Government has proposed to establish One Stop Centres for girls;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the aims and objectives of the proposal; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c) : The Government implements One Stop Centre (OSC) Scheme to provide for a range of services such as police facilitation, legal counselling, psycho-social counselling, medical aid and temporary shelter in an integrated manner, under one roof, for violence affected women and women in distress. Till date, 733 One Stop Centres (OSCs) in 730 districts of the country have been approved, out of which 684 are operational.
