Question : COMPUTERIZATION OF LAND RECORD

 

(a) whether all the districts of the country have been included under the scheme of computerization of Land Records;

(b) if so, the State-wise details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor and the reaction of the Government thereto;

(c) whether the work of computerization of land records has been completed in all the districts included under this scheme and if not, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(d) the states which have completed Records of Rights (RoRs) data entry and the States which have stopped manual issue of RoRs along with States which have placed RoRs data on websites; and

(e) whether the Government proposes to carry out the digital mapping of immovable properties, if so the details thereof?

MINISTER OF STATE FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI SUDARSHAN BHAGAT)  

(a) to (c) : The National Land Records Modernization Programme (NLRMP) aims to cover computerisation of land records in all the districts of the country by the end of 12th Five Year Plan. So far funds have been released for 457 districts under different components of NLRMP namely, computerization of land records, survey/resurvey, computerization of registration and establishment of modern record rooms etc. State wise details of the districts covered are given at annexure (Column 5). The work of computerization of land records is at various stages of implementation.  

(d) The details of completion of Records of Rights (RoRs) data entry and the States which have stopped manual issue of RoRs along with States which have placed RoRs data on websites are given at annexure (Columns 1, 2 and 3 respectively).    

(e) National Land Records Modernization Programme (NLRMP) includes the component of Digitization of Cadastral Maps in Rural Areas. The details of implementation are given in annexure (Column 4).
