Question : TENURE OF CHAIRMAN,RRB



(a) the duration/tenure of the Chairman of a Regional Rural Bank (RRB) as per Government rule; and

(b) the actual duration of Chairman of each amalgamated RRB since the amalgamation process has started?

(a):- As per provisions contained in Section 11 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976, the tenure of the Chairman of a Regional Rural Bank cannot exceed five years.

(b):- A list of the Chairmen RRBs, as on date alongwith tenure, as reported by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is annexed.
