(a) to (c): Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a board driven process and the board of the Company is empowered to decide the activities to be undertaken in areas or subjects enlisted in Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 taking into consideration the recommendation of its CSR committee. Item no. (vi) of the Schedule VII already enlists ‘measures for the benefit of armed forces veterans, war widows and their dependents’ as an eligibility CSR activity. Further, General Circular no. 21/2014 dated 18.06.2014 provides that item enlisted in Schedule VII can be interpreted liberally to capture essence of the subject enumerated.
