(a): Ministry of MSME, through Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is implementing the following programmes/schemes and activities throughout the country including Jammu and Kashmir:
i) Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
ii) Market Promotion and Development Assistance (MPDA)
iii) Interest Subsidy Eligibility Certificate (ISEC) Scheme
iv) Khadi Reform and Development Programme (KRDP)
v) Workshed scheme for Khadi Artisans
vi) Strengthening of Infrastructure of Existing Weak Khadi Institutions and Assistance for Marketing Infrastructure
vii) Aam Adami Bima Yojana (Group Insurance Scheme for Khadi Artisans)
viii) Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI)
ix) Honey Mission (Bee-keeping)
x) Pottery Programme (Kumhar Sashaktikaran Programme)
(b): At present KVIC is running one training centre namely Production Cum Marketing Cum Training Centre (PMTC) at Pampore (District Pulwama), besides running of one Sub Office at Pampore and State Office at Jammu.
(c): At present KVIC in its training Centre at Pampore provides different kinds of training viz., cutting and tailoring, mehandi designing, embroidery, mobile repairing etc. to youth (both boys and girls) and after completion of trainings give them handholding support by bringing them in the fold of PMEGP to give them chance of earning their livelihood. Besides, the Centre at Pampore imparts 10 days EDP training to PMEGP beneficiaries. Performance of PMTC Pampore and achievement of PMTC, KVIC in Jammu and Kashmir State in the last three years are given in the Annexure.
(d): KVIC centre/office, Pampore has distributed Pottery wheels and Honey Boxes to Potters and Beekeepers in the Kashmir valley under Sahyog Scheme. KVIC centre/office, Pampore has organized the training programme in pottery and bee-keeping in the campus as well as entire Kashmir.
