(a) whether L.O.D., a product of Reliance, is being sold in the name of diesel in various parts of the country;
(b) if so, whether the public sector oil companies are suffering huge losses due to this;
(c) whether the Government have taken any steps so far to check it; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d) : Superior LDO is being marketed in various parts of the country by the Reliance Petroleum Limited. It is sold as Superior LDO and not as diesel. Public Sector Oil Companies are free to sell similar product in the market.
