(a) whether Central Government has received any request from Tamil Nadu to relax norms for the identification of No Construction Zones in vicinity of archaeological monuments in the suburban areas of Greater Chennai, Pallavaram, Mambakkam, Sembakkam, Selaiyur and Tambaram since passing of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains (Amendment) Bill, 2017;
(b) if so, details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon and to relax the restricted areas for the construction and renovation of houses under the erstwhile Ancient Monuments Preservation Act, 1972;
(c) whether Government has taken any decision in this regard; and
(d) if so, details thereof and if not, reasons therefor?
