(a) whether any proposals have been received by the Union Government for the development of fallow land during the last three years;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise and scheme-wise;
(c) the number of proposals pending with the Union Govermnent for development of fallow land; and
(d) the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (d): The Department of Land Resources is
implementing the Integrated Wastelands Development Programme (IWDP) for development of non-forest wastelands on watershed
basis. Under this programme, the project proposals received
from States are prioritized in consultation with the State
Governments concerned for sanction during the financial
year. The prioritized projects are then processed for
sanction keeping in view the provisions of the Guidelines for
Watershed Development as well as availability of the funds
during the financial year. The details of the projects
sanctioned under IWDP during the last three years, are given
in the Annexure. No project proposal exclusively for
development of fallow land is pending in the Department.
