(a) whether the request of Karnataka Government to declare Bidar-Sriranga Patnam, Jewargi-Sankeshwar, and Kalala-Raichur as National Highways is pending for the last three years;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the steps taken/proposed to be taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b) The request received from the Government of Karnataka during the 9th Plan period was duly considered along with similar proposals received from other State Governments but could not be acceded to, keeping in view the traffic needs, inter-se priority of all such proposals and overall availability of funds.
(c) The proposal would be considered alongwith similar proposals received from other State Governments after the finalisation of the 10th Five Year Plan and availability of funds keeping in view the traffic needs and inter-se priority.
