Question : FUNDS TO NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS FOR VARIOUS SCHEMES

(a) whether any Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)/Institutions have sought funds for various schemes related to welfare of women and children in the country during each of the last three years, State-wise ;

(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the action taken thereon by the Government;

(c) the details of forthcoming programmes/schemes for the welfare of women and children in the country;

(d) whether inordinate delay is involved in sanctioning the grants for the schemes for the welfare of women and children;

(e) if so, the details thereof; and

(f) the corrective measures taken/proposed to be taken by the Government in this regard?

The details of the funds sought by NGOs/institutions for various schemes related to welfare of Women and Children and sanctioned by this Ministry during the last three years and also details of forthcoming programmes/ schemes are available in the respective Annual Reports of the Ministry and it’s Website http:www.wcd.nic.in

(f) In order to ensure timely sanction of projects and release of funds, the need for submission of complete project proposals as per the prescribed guidelines and ensuring timely submission of utilization certificates is regularly emphasized upon the State Governments and project implementing agencies.
