Question : Overhaul of Supplementary Nutrition Programme

(a) whether the Government has decided to overhaul its Supplementary Nutrition Programme wherein States have been directed to provide nutrient packages directly to beneficiaries instead of providing food through anganwadis;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the benefits likely to be achieved therefrom;

(c) whether the Government has since identified the districts in the country which are having highest rates of malnutrition;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) the details of delivery pattern of such nutrient packages directly to the beneficiaries; and

(f) the present status of the proposal along with the time by which it is likely to be implemented?
