(a) whether any agreement has been signed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with private
or foreign companies for setting up power plants in the State during the last three years;
(b) if so, the details thereof, project-wise and company-wise;
(c) the names of places where these companies have started its construction work; and
(d) the action proposed to be taken against those companies that have not undertaken
construction work, so far?

(a) to (d) : The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. have informed that Power Purchase
Agreements (PPAs) have been signed with two Independent Power Producers during the last
three years for setting up power projects in the private sector in Uttar Pradesh. Their details are
given below :-
