(a) the details of proposals received from the State Governments particularly Jharkhand for Dairy Development during
the last two years; and
(b) the action taken by the Government on these proposals and the number of proposals rejected alongwith the reasons
therefor?

(a) & (b) : During the last two years, one proposal under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme `Intensive Dairy Development
Programme` was received from the State Government of Jharkhand for the districts of Ranchi, East Singbhum & Saraikela-
Kharsawan. However, considering the viability of the project, the proposal for the district of Ranchi was approved
with the total outlay of Rs.294.29 lakhs and an amount of Rs.166.89 lakh has been released till 31.03.2007 for
implementation of the project.
