Question : Apprenticeship Model

(a) whether the Government is considering to set up a ''Council of Engineers'', as a unified governing body for all engineers;

(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the Government is also considering to introduce an apprenticeship system in place of skill development for all engineers; and

(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) & (b) No Madam. There is no such proposal.

(c) & (d) Under the Apprentices Act, 1961, engineers can undergo apprenticeship training.
