(a) whether the Government has asked the State run Oil Marketing companies to procured untested
anti-pilferage devices to be fitted on cylinders;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the cost of the device is way too high;
(d) whether any steps are being taken to produce them at low cost; and
(e) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) to (e): Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have invited global Expression of Interest
for procurement of an Anti Pilferage Device to check the pilferage of subsidized LPG from domestic
LPG cylinders. The purchase order has not yet been finalised.
