Question : Delhi Master Plan

Will the Minister of URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a): whether provisions of Delhi Master Plan 2001 have been included in Delhi Master Plan 2021, in which emphasis was laid on development of sports facilities for all age groups and making these accessible to all sections of the society;

(b): if so, the details thereof;

(c): the number of sports complexes, multigyms, playgrounds developed by the Delhi Development Authority under Delhi Master Plan 2001; and

(d): the number of sports complexes, multigyms, playgrounds proposed to be developed under Delhi Master Plan 2021?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that specific provisions for sports facilities are given in the para 13.3 of Master Plan for Delhi-2021 (MPD-2021). This includes the planning norms and development control norms for sports facilities at neighbourhood level and city level, for all age groups at appropriate levels, as stipulated in Table 13.7 of MPD-2021.

(c) & (d): Delhi Development Authority has informed that it has so far developed, 15 Sports Complexes, 2 Golf Courses, 3 Mini Sports Complexes, 21 Multi-Gyms in green areas and 26 Parks which have been developed as playfields. All development norms are carried out as per the provisions of the Master Plan in force.
