Question : Vacancy in Banks-Insurance Companies

(a) the number of posts reserved for the persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Others Backward Classes lying vacant in the public sector banks and insurance companies of the country at present;

(b) the time by which the said posts have been lying vacant;

(c) whether any special drive has been conducted by the said banks for filling up the said vacancies;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the steps taken/being taken by the Government for filling up the said vacancies?

(a) & (b) The details in respect number of posts reserved for the persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Others Backward Classes lying vacant in the public sector banks(PSBs) and insurance companies(PSICs) is placed at Annexure.

(c) to (e) Recruitment is an ongoing process, therefore the vacant post are likely to be filled during the ensuing recruitment process. All Public Sector Banks (PSBs)/Public Sector Insurance Companies (PSICs) Insurance Companies (ICs) were directed on 29.12.2014 to fill up the backlog vacancies as per time frame fixed by DoP&T vide their O.M. No.36038/01/2013-Estt.(Res.) dated 26.11.2014.
