(a) The criteria and weightage for tax devolution of net Central Tax proceeds to State Governments is based on Population (as per 1971 census) - 25%, Area of the State - 10%, Fiscal Capacity Distance - 47.5%, and Fiscal Discipline - 17.5% as per the recommendations of the 13th Finance Commission. The Government has accepted the recommendations of the Commission.

(b) The information about state-wise collection of revenue is not maintained.

(c) The following State share in Central Taxes was disbursed to the State Governments of Punjab and Madhya Pradesh during the last three financial years:
