(a) the details of procuring agencies involved in the procurement of agricultural
commodities at the MSPs fixed by the Union Government;
(b) whether such agencies have kept pending payment of MSPs of procured agricultural
commodities as a result of which farmers in the country including Bihar have been compelled
to resort to distress sale of their agriculture produce including Maize;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the reaction of the Government thereto?

(a): Food Corporation of India (FCI) and agencies of State Governments, National
Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED), Cotton Corporation
of India (CCI), Jute Corporation of India (JCI) procure foodgrains, oilseeds, pulses,
cotton and jute at the Minimum Support prices (MSPs) fixed by the Government.
(b) to (d): There is no report of any pending payment of MSPs.
