(a) whether the Government has received any proposal from the State Government of Bihar
regarding upgradation of Buxar-Mohania-Bhabhua-Gadke (Adhora) road into National Highway (NH);
(b) if so, the details thereof and the action taken thereon;
(c) whether the road connecting Balia (Uttar Pradesh) and Gadke (Bihar) is the only connecting
road for the Naxal affected areas; and
(d) if so, the time by which the said road is likely to be constructed and declared as National
Highway?

(a) and (b) Yes, Madam. The Government has received proposal from the State Government of Bihar
regarding upgradation of Buxar-Mohania-Bhabhua-Gadke (Adhora) road into National Highway.
Expansion of National Highway network is a continuous process and declaration of new National
Highway is taken up from time to time depending upon, requirement of connectivity, inter-se
priority and availability of funds.
