Question : Working Days under MGNREGS

(a) whether the Government is planning to increase the number of working days under MGNREGS in Andhra Pradesh and if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has sent any proposal to the Union Government in this regard and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has taken any decision on such proposal; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): No, Sir. However, an additional 50 days of wage employment are provided over and above 100 days in the notified drought affected areas or natural calamity areas in the country on recommendation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
