Question : PROPOSALS REGARDING RURAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES



(a) the number of proposals received by the Government from States under various schemes during the last three years and the current year, State-wise, year-wise, scheme-wise;

(b) the number of proposals out of the said proposals cleared by the Government alongwith the number of proposals still lying pending with the Government, scheme- wise, State-wise; and

(c) the steps taken/being taken by the Government to expedite the matter relating to the aforesaid proposals?

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTERY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI PRADEEP JAIN `ADITYA`)

(a)to(c): The Ministry of Rural Development receive proposals from the State Governments and Union Territory Administrations for release of Central share under all the rural development programmes as per the norms laid down in the respective programme guidelines. Such proposals received from State Governments and Union Territory Administrations are examined with respect to guidelines. In case shortcomings/deficiency are noticed, same are referred to concerned DRDA/State Government/Implementing Agency for rectification or furnishing requisite information/document. All complete projects proposals are approved by the Ministry and no project proposal remain pending in the Ministry. State-wise and scheme- wise project proposals received and approved under the project based schemes of the Ministry of Rural Development during last three years is given at Annexure.
