(a) The metro rail projects being implemented on 50:50 joint venture between Government of India (GoI) and the concerned State/Union Territories Governments are functional in Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai. The details of average number of passenger travelled in last one year, stretch and city-wise is given at Annexure-I.
(b) The details of funds (Central and State Share) incurred /or likely to be incurred on various constructed/under construction Metro Rail Projects in the country being implemented on 50:50 joint venture between Government of India (GoI) and the concerned State Governments, stretch, project and city-wise is given in Annexure-II.
(c) The details of the funds earned by Metro Rail being implemented on 50:50 joint venture between Government of India (GoI) and the concerned State Governments in various cities during the last three years and current year, stretch and city-wise are given in Annexure-III.
(d) The progress of Metro Rail projects is reviewed periodically by GoI, State Governments and the concerned Metro Railway Board of Directors (BoDs) from time to time. Appropriate action such as holding of meetings, resolving the issues causing delay in the project etc. with the concerned Ministries/Departments/Agencies is being taken up by GoI. The details of current status and expected completion date of under construction/ sanctioned Projects stretch and city-wise are given in Annexure-IV.
(e) The proposals for Metro rail projects are considered by the Central Government under the ambit of National Urban Transport Policy 2006 as and when it is posed by the concerned State Government.
(f) The details of the proposals received in this Ministry for sanction/consideration by the Central Government are given in Annexure V.
