Will the Minister OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has made any assessment of the demand of houses to be constructed in Delhi under “Housing for All” scheme and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the reasons for delay in launching the DDA proposed housing schemes; and
(c) the details of the steps taken for easy loan process to self employed and professionals by nationalised banks?

(a) : Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is responsible for implementation of Housing for All scheme (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna) in Delhi. DDA being one of the stake holders has conveyed its readiness to take up the job assigned to it in the process. DDA has informed that it has been constructing and allotting flats of Janta/Economically Weaker Section/Lower Income Group/Middle Income Group categories and other affordable houses through various schemes from time to time. Till date, DDA has allotted about 4,20,389 flats.
(b) & (c): DDA has informed that after the approval of the Authority it is taking necessary steps to launch the Housing Scheme-2017. It has further informed that a provision is being kept in the scheme for the successful allottees to avail housing loan by mortgaging their flats to the specified institutions without its prior approval. However, an intimation regarding institution to which the flat has been mortgaged, is to be given to DDA.
