(a) whether there are any liabilities of Hindustan Paper Corporation in Nagaon and Cachar Paper Mill in Assam;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) whether the Government is taking any steps to modernize the Cachar Paper Mill and if so, the details thereof?

(a): Yes.
(b): As on 30.11.2015, liability of Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) in Cachar Paper Mill (CPM) and Nagaon Paper Mill (NPM) is Rs. 401.22 crore and Rs. 415.81 crore respectively. Details are given below:
