(a) to (c) : The position of vacant posts of Chairman and managing Director/Managing Director in the Public Sector Enterprises under the Department of Heavy Industry and the steps being taken to fill up the vacancies/ the reasons for not filling up the same is as under:-

1. Triveni Structurals Ltd. (TSL) It has been decided not to fill up the post of CMD as the company has been totally depending upon the Government budgetary support even for payment of salary/wags and employees related statutory dues. Shri A.K. Jain, CMD, Bharat Pumps & Compressors Ltd, is presently holding the additional charge of CMD, TSL as well as TSPL.
2. Tungabhadra Steel Products Ltd. (TSPL)
3. Hindustan Photo Films Since the financial position of the company is Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (HPF) critical, a decision has been taken with the approval of Department of Personnel & Training not to fill u the post on regular basis and manage the post of CMD, HPF through Additional charge. Presently, Director (F), HPF is holding the additional charge of CMD, HPF
4. Tyre Corporation of India After due process and as per recommendations of the Limited (TCIL) PESB, a proposal for appointment of CMD, TCIL is under submission to DoPT for obtaining the approval of the competent authority Presently, Director (F), TCIL is holding the additional charge of CMD, TCIL.
5. Hindustan Salts Ltd. (HSL)/ The matter has been taken up with PESB for initiation Sambhar Salts Ltd.(SSL) of filling up the vacancy. Presently, MD, REIL is holding the additional charge of CMD, HSL/SSL.
6. Cement Corporation of PESB recommendation for two persons has been received India ltd. (CCI) on 2.2.2010. CVC clearance has also been received on 19.3.2010. Case is under consideration in the Department for selecting the candidate. Presently, Director (F), CCI is holding the additional charge of CMD, CCI.
7. HMT (Bearings) Ltd. The process for regular appointment to the post of MD in this company did not materialize as the candidates recommended by PESB have shown their unwillingness to join the post due to lower pay scale and other service conditions. The ACC has scrapped the panel for regular appointment of MD, HMT(Bearings) Ltd. on 24.12.2009. Meanwhile, PESB has again been requested to circulate the post afresh. Presently, S G Sridhar,Director (Operations) is holding the additional charge of MD, HMT (Bearings) Ltd.
8. HMT (Chinar Watches). As the unit has been offered to the Government of J&K for takeover on the basis of BRPSE recommendations, it has been decided with the approval of the competent authority not to fill up the post. Presently, CMD, HMT Ltd. is holding the additional charge of MD, HMT Chinar Watches.
