(a) whether the service tax department have taken over temporary possession of jets
belonging to Kingfisher Airlines as the airlines failed to pay up dues;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Kingfisher Airlines has not paid salaries to its pilots and employees for
more than 14 months; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) and (b):- As per the information available with this Ministry, Office of the
Commissioner of Service Tax, Mumbai attached the Kingfisher airline aircraft MSN 739
(VT-DKH) under Section 87 (c) of the Finance Act, 1994 in order to safeguard Government
revenue.
(c) and (d): It is learnt that some staff of Kingfisher airlines were not paid their
salaries. Exact quantum of dues and number of affected staff is not known to this
Ministry.
